Job Descriptions

Laborer I

Site Clean up
Assists with loading/unloading and distributing materials
Assists in dismantling and transporting materials
Collects and disposes accumulated trash on and around the job site daily
Performs general cleaning and trash removal for the jobsite trailer
Assists with demo operations
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, carrying, swinging, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling
Responsible for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and following OSHA standards
Working at projected heights, narrow workspaces and various depths
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Exposure to extreme weather conditions
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

Ability to perform work accurately and completely and in a timely manner
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to identify common construction materials and equipment
Punctual attendance and reliability

Laborer II

Cleans and maintains tools
Operate equipment safely and effectively
Ownership of necessary tools
Working knowledge of all power tools and hand tools
Understanding of basic layout and construction
Basic elements of framing and forming
General Carpentry
Assists with installation of windows/doors/frames
Collects and secures all jobsite tools at the end of the workday
Responsible for dismantling and transporting materials
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Valid Driver's License

Must also meet all additional duties and requirements of a "Laborer I"

Carpenter I

Working knowledge of all carpentry tools
Basic understanding and use of principles of layout and construction math as necessary per project needs
Proficiency with the basic elements of framing/forming
Installation of safety railings, floor openings and general safety items
Installation of in-wall and roof blocking/general carpentry
Basic working knowledge of Rough and Finish Carpentry
Erects temporary partitions and doors
Installation of doors, frames and hardware
Personal ownership of all necessary hand tools and pouches
Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, carrying, swinging, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling

Carpenter II

Responsible for performing complex carpentry tasks including new construction, renovations and other project types
Properly receiving material deliveries
Performs layout activities as it relates to the specific task
Applies advanced understanding of formwork systems and installation
Quality installation of casework and countertops
Quality installation of all types of trim and wood paneling
Quality commercial installation of doors, hardware and accessories
Identifies, understands and applies construction details as it relates to finish carpentry
Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance
Ability to lead a small crew
Ability to read basic plans
OSHA 10

Must be proficient in 3 of the following categories with a desire to learn more:

Rough Framing
Metal Studs
Concrete Finish or Form Work
Steel Erection
Masonry
Heavy Equipment Operation

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience in Construction Carpentry
Valid Driver's License
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Reliable Transportation

Must also meet all additional duties and requirements of a "Carpenter I"

Framing Foreman

Plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects
Responsible for managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project
Manages and oversees company staff
Creates, manages, changes and implements the project’s schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager
Evaluates progress on self-perform work and make adjustments as needed
Manages material and equipment needs for the project
Assist in the selection of the formwork, tools and equipment necessary to complete self-perform operations
Manages timecard approval process to ensure reporting of accurate hours and proper cost codes
Partners with project management to identify schedule and costs associated with project changes
Proficiency in Blue Print reading
Proficiency in all tools and equipment needed to complete project

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
3+ years commercial construction experience
1+ year of field supervision experience
Must be able to list at least 50 pounds
May require periods of travel
Exposure to extreme weather conditions
Willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling
Ability to perform work accurately and completely and in a timely manner
Communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects
Knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project
Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
Demonstrated knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
Demonstrated knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
Ability to understand document changes and impact to the project schedule

Site Superintendent

Responsible for managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project
Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the over all job and workflow
Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs
Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work
Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site
Creates, manages, changes and implements the project’s schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager
Approves and/or records unit cost information for weekly reports and completes daily reports, logs and tracking reports
Evaluates progress on self-perform work and make adjustments as needed
Manages material and equipment needs for the project
Assist in the selection of the formwork, tools and equipment necessary to complete self-perform operations
Manages timecard approval process to ensure reporting of accurate hours and proper cost codes
Partners with project management to identify schedule and costs associated with project changes
Understand and applies the terms and conditions of the owner and subcontractor contracts for the project
Ability to perform work accurately and completely and in a timely manner
Communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects
Knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project

Assistant Project Manager

Develop individual project execution plans and schedules
Maintain submittals and logs for projects
Develop project job specifications and ensure contractors adhere to its specifications, standards and requirements
Monitor individual project cost and schedule performance including providing project cost and schedule control when needed
Assist in coordinating construction activities with in-house personnel or contractors including monitoring contractor performance
Assist with employee management as needed and directed
Oversee & confirm project management of change activities
Ensure completion of final project documentation
Perform project turnover and closeout activities
Participate in safety meetings, training and field safety audit programs
Participate in development of individual's personal technical training program
Travel may be required

Qualifications:

Degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Engineering field or related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to resolve issues between various groups while maintaining a positive work environment
Ability to coordinate multiple projects with minimum supervision
Must have Valid Driver’s License

Project Manager

Managing the overall financial health of projects
Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
Allocate project estimates into the financial system
Identify cost codes, approve invoices and make necessary budget decisions
Provide financials and billings to the Accounting Department for timely payment
Create monthly owner billings
Maintain budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers
Handle billing and contract management, including contract buyouts
Provide job assignments and facilitate career development
Approve timecards for on-site team members
Provide on-going feedback on work performance
Function as the main point of contact with the owner and /or on-site representative
Assist with the reviews of the owner agreement
Resolve site concerns for the owner or representative
Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities
Execute change orders
Decide the appropriate timing to submit to the owner or on-site representatives
Obtain the customer/architect’s approval
Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety and compliance for the project and team members
Travel is required

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years previous related experience
Commercial construction experience required
Demonstrated ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and lead multiple project tasks
Possess a basic understanding of construction contracts and accepted business practices
Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at a proficient level
Demonstrated positive and professional attitude along with strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate company policies
Current Driver's License
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience
